It’s not ideal — but it’s real. What matters is how we respond to it. At SAMI, we’re building more than just formulas, we’re committed to a better system.

That means making responsible choices at every step: Our bottles and lids are made from 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic, our cartons are FSC Certified, our shippers are compostable and our formulas are Australian made, vegan and cruelty free. Even our routines are designed to save water — no rinsing required.

We know skincare has a footprint. So where reduction isn’t possible, restoration is essential. 

We’re proud to support Plastic Bank, removing 1,000 plastic bottles from the environment every month — and we’ll keep finding ways to give back more than we take.

There’s no perfect solution, but we’re not here to sugarcoat it. We’re here to do the work. To keep learning, keep improving, and to be transparent along the way. Because real progress is our responsibility and we’re serious about getting it right.

So our goal is simple: reduce where we can, restore where we can’t, and always choose the most responsible path forward.

HERE'S HOW WE'RE DOING THAT:

100% Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic

Our bottles and lids are made using 100% post-consumer recycled plastic (PRCP)  — giving new life to existing materials instead of creating more. It’s not just about using less, it’s about using smarter.

Our reducer inserts are not, unfortunately they are not available in PRCP, but we are working with our manufacturers to find a better solution. 

FSC Certified Cardboard

Every SAMI carton is made from FSC Certified cardboard — meaning it comes from responsibly managed forests that prioritise environmental care, biodiversity, and ethical labour.
We do not include any unnecessary items in the shipping cartons, only what we need to get your product to you safely. No plastic is used in the shipping process. 

Honeycomb Paper Mailers

Every SAMI order is protected with our honeycomb paper padded mailers — a sustainable alternative to plastic that cushions your products while keeping waste minimal.

Made from recyclable paper, they provide sturdy protection without the need for bubble wrap or plastic fillers

Where the order is too large, it will be placed in an FSC certified mailer box.

Plastic Bank Partnership

We’ve proudly partnered with Plastic Bank to remove 1,000 plastic bottles from the environment each month. 

This not only reduces plastic waste in our environment, but supports collection communities with secure income and resources.
